    Power Steering Removal

I'm rebuiling my front end now and want to delete the pwr steering system. Do I have to completely bleed the rack or do I leave some fluid in for lubrication? Any ideas on how to plug the line fittings? Bolts or Plates?

    Thanks,

Here is a link for my finished rear end. Will post pics of the front when done.

You will want to leave fluid in the rack to lubricate it. Do NOT just bolt off the old powersteering banjo bolt holes as this will prevent fluid from being able to travel from one end of the rack to the other. Instead you want to either: 1.) Loop a tube using the original banjo bolts that just goes from one hole to the other, or 2.) Buy a power steering delete from www.powersteeringdeletes.com which are machined out of aluminum for the e30/e36 rack. Number 2 is the better option imo. In either case you will need to reuse your power steering bolts.
