The shock may be locked in by corrosion. Liberal application of PBlaster or Kroil and time for it work (hours to days) will help. in stubborn cases heat and gentle tapping all around the strut housing may be required.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I'm going to assume you removed the coller first right?
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Always remember, a careful application og a propane torch evenly around the edge of the collar will beat any penetrating oil when it comes to breaking that puppy loose!

                To do this right.

                1.) remove the spring
                2.) reinstall camber thing
3.) bolt the housing back on the car
4.) heat the area up with the gun, not super hot, jsut enough to help the pb blaster flow
                5.) pb blast it
6.) pull with a 2 ft plubbing wrench, both hand on it, and leverage against something.

this method always... and I mean ALWAYS worked for me. did like 6 sets, and some are rusted up and down, and corroded everywhere.
