    Coilover help!

    Hey,
I recently installed some brand new coilovers and my car handles like a dream.
Today, as I was driving, I suddenly heard a clunking in the rear passenger side. I pulled over to see what was going on and saw the following:

    Driver's Side(for reference):

What RSM do you have? You should get another one...

      stock ones.
I don't know if I should just get better ones or just get new stock ones with reinforcement plates..
The better/stronger ones will probably last me longer...

get either solid aluminum or at the very least polyurethane ones.

          So we're 100% certain it's the RSM?

Perfect. I'll go ahead and order AKG ones, and get a rear strut bar for reinforcement.
          How's that sound? ;)

              Stock ones with coilovers? LOL.

Yes, that's a busted RSM and you should go GC or AKG or whatever.

I'm going to jack the car up tomorrow morning to see what's going on under there, because it looks like my rear shock mounts are still attached to my stock shocks.
I didn't even notice new RSM's on the new shocks so I can't wait to see what's happening -- I'll post more pics tomorrow.

have you replaced your trailing arm bushings and subframe bushings?

                    Nope. None of that yet.
I'm waiting to overhaul all that in the spring, since it's going into storage within 2 weeks.

It looks like the washer that sits beneath the bushing for the RSM slid off of the seat and down the shaft. It's hard to explain, so I hope you understand.

See now, you should have done all that stuff BEFORE the coils. that way everything is taken care of before you put the cool parts on
