Relocating sway bar tabs onto struts

How much will this actually change the front bar effectiveness? I have the IE front/rear bars on the car now and it corners almost flat as far as I can tell. I'm going to have the strut housings shortened for the shorter body Konis and thought about having the tabs welded on at the same time.

It effectively moves the acting force of the bar outwards a good 5 inches on either side-it makes a big difference. The only comparison I've heard is that a 21mm (M3/cabrio) bar feels more like a 25mm bar. I don't know how accurate that is, but I'm going to be doing the same thing fairly soon.
