Your Opinion: Pics of Hamburg Technic Suspension Bits

I'm not an E30 guru, nor do I have equivalent Genuine BMW, Meyle, Febi, or Lemfoerder parts for comparison. That said, some pieces I got on Ebay under the Hamburg Technic brand don't look so good. Could a few people comment on these - I'll attempt to return them if the experts confirm my suspicions of crappiness.

Front sway bar links: bars are connected to the ends with sketchy looking welds:

Front CAB's, M3 offset style: There's a gap in the rubber all along the skinny end that goes thru the piece. Having never seen a real CAB of this style, I was assuming that it's supposed to be solid, and this is a manufacturing defect (2 different pieces pictured):

Let me know what you think.

The CAB's look used. Straight up off a "low" mileage car.

The end links I don't know. Doesn't look to me to be the safest or sturdiest setup :(

Those CABs are not and do not look used. I have replaced many a CAB, and thats what OEM m3 ones look like. There is a slight gap on the outboard side. There is just a little extra rubber on there from the molds. Those look fine.

The end links, different story. I am sure those would be fine as the force is going vertical, but I still dont like the half weld. I always use adjustable end links.

I have both of those parts, the CAB's look like that on mine too, but I never used them. The links have held up for the last 3,500 miles with no issues, but I would still definitely agree with being skeptical of them.

FWIW, those are what OEM end links look like, and I havent ever seen a failed one due to the welds. Just the boots and sloppy ball joints. You will be fine, those look like what you ordered should look like. Install and enjoy.

Yeah, I have used those ebay parts on my E36 and E30. The problem I have is that the rubber boots on the ball joints wear and open up far easier than OEM parts. The rubber boots on the endlinks on the E30 tore open after only 6 months. On the E36 after 2 years the rubber boots on the control arms were showing tears in the outer part of the rubber and didn't look like they would last much longer.

In person they look new, I just didn't know that there was a deliberate slot on the skinny end.
