I've heard of some going with out power steering any benefit besides weight savings :?:

sure, heavier steering, especially when driving slowly. I don't really see the point on a street car, personally. I've already owned one car with no power steering (or brakes!), no thanks.

Car would be daily/autox if that helps.

it's up to you, but I'd keep it, especially if it will be daily driven. removing it isn't going to make you faster in autox..
