which shock is better an why?

Billy sports or koni sports(adjustable). My car is a DD and I auto-x. I noticed the pricing is damn near similar to each minus 10 bucks or so on tirerack. these will be used with GC's 440 front 625 rear. I've had h&r's forever but those are now going on the g/f's e30.

I think that either shock will be under damped for those spring rates and would need to be re-valved. You'd be better off to get the GC kit with its re-valved Koni SA shocks.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

For autocross? Koni all day. Adjustable shocks are the only way to go since you can stiffen at the track and smooth it out for the ride home. That's the only way my GF will go to events with me!

it doesn't really work that way though. When you "stiffen" konis you are really controlling it's ability to regulate the spring, not how harsh it will feel over a bump. For a given spring rate there's a correct valving that will properly control the spring (not bouncy, not too stiff). making it super soft might actually make the ride worse (bouncy! bouncy!)
