    How to increase front travel

A few questions, I am running H&R Race, Billys, UUC camber plates, and 15mm drop hats. My problem is that I am hitting the bump stops more than I would like. I am afraid that I might waste my shocks eventually. Is there a way to increase the front shock travel a little to avoid hitting the bump stops as much. My car is not that low in the front and I dont want to raise it up. Will running stock upper mounts or GC camber plates give me a few more mm's. would it be bad to modify the bump stops. I don't know, any ideas.

You could modify the bump stops and get the GC camber plates.

^^^^this and you may want to cut your bumpstops as well as investigate how tall your camber plates are. most companies focus on adjustability and dont take into consideration the stack height. a taller stack height will lessen your shock travel as well as your 15mm drop hats.

sounds like you have some reading/purchasing to do

GC camber plates actually give you less travel if you're just on springs.

Cut a nub off your bumpstops. It's the only way to fix it other than raising it or getting shorter struts.

Is there any downside to cutting the bump stops.

If you only cut one inch, absolutely not. If you think about it, the bumpstop is only there to soften the blow of a potentially horrible bump. If that bumpstop wasnt there, it would be a metal to metal thud which is no bueno.

I have cut peoples bumpstops and havent heard a single complaint.

Cut bump stops, and make sure you're running short struts so they're not compressed as far at rest, it'll be better for longevity.

                    Yeap.
Chisel off the bottom cap and a rod will pop out with 3 yellow bumpstops chilling there.
                    Looks like this:

Cut off the one I marked red.
                    Really easy.
