my buddy has a set of kyb struts and eibrach sportlines that were on his 240sx and he is selling them cheap. i was wondering if they would fit on my bmw 318i... opinion or suggestions please and thanks

Although the weight, wheelbase, and center of mass between an e30 and an S-chassis Nissan are not too different, I still do not like the idea of fiddling with the suspension which may create unsafe handling characteristics. Especially since E30's can give you some snap-oversteer if they are pissed off. Not to mention any rigging you may need to do if it doesnt quite match up.
If you really want to do it, I would compare the strut lengths,
compare the spring rates, length of springs, and the diameter at the spring perches. If the dimensions check out fine and the spring rate rear/front ratio is comparable to what is offered on an e30 then I would feel better about it.
