    Front Suspension Help

Well we installed the new Bilsteins sports with IE Stage 3 springs, New CA bushings. Every thing feels really solid.
But when you drive the car when you hit a little bump and it goes up and down it makes a clunking noise like if something is loose, but we checked everything and nothing is loose....

Any ideas of what can cause this?

Its just when the shocks go up and down and its just in the front...

    Thanks

Here are some pictures of what the strut bolt looks... I think its too far out.. Could this be that the jackass that installed them left something off?

And if i turn it with a wrench it just keeps going out and not tightening....

        What the heck??

This is for GC kits, so ignore the wrench size and use whatever fits your car.

indeed.. my strut was doing the same ( billys and Hr) it ended up being the screw that holds the strut and the strut housing... example would be that picture that shows the 1 1/4 i open screw..

Same here but mine come only from the drivers side, every time i go up on the driveway or while going under 30mph and hit a bump and turning. I tightened the nut on the steering column since its an airbag but the damn clunking is still there and everything has been checked..

How is your threaded portion attached? Mine is just sitting on the flange and I was thinking that "could" be the cause. Thoughts?

Check realoem or something. There is a series of washers in that area, I left one out once and caused a clunking noise.

Do you mean the gland nut?

I just finished installing the front CG system w/Koni's and camber plates. The long spacer that CG supplied (the one that is inserted into the strut housing) was so long that the gland nut wouldn't catch the first thread.

I called CG and they said I should just cut it to length, which I did so that I could tighten the gland nut until it is flush with the top of the strut.
