Cannot get my steering wheel straight!

I have an M-Tech II steering wheel, and since I bought it, I simply cannot get it to line up straight. Everytime I try to adjust it, it's still sitting crooked, either to the left or right. Has anyone else had this problem? How do you fix it? It's making me nuts!

i had the same problem josh. the trick is to find a nice empty road ( shouldnt be hard in bend) and drive slowly in a striaght line @ 5-10mph at the most. Loosen the nut and put the steeringwheel on straight. Then tighten it down, wala straight steering wheel.

I tried Mot's suggestion, went out for about 20 minutes up and down a straight road, and still cannot get it straight. It's like there's ONE spline in between just a bit too far right and just a bit to far left, and if I try to put it there, it just won't go on. This is making me NUTS.

Maybe it's your rack or allignment? Did the original wheel fit perfectly straight?

As far as I knew, it was only in there for 4 days. :D

I'm going to do an alignment when I do my suspension at the end of the month, maybe that will fix it. I seem to remember someone, I think it was Jordan, saying that could be the problem.
