As some of you know i just got an 88 325is and it has a "e36 rack" i was wondering if there was a way to tell if it really is an e36 rack? the car car also needs inner and outer tie rod ends. If i was to get tie rod ends and it is an e36 rack what tie rod ends do i have to buy?? o and by the way this is funny :hitler:

The non-M z3 rack is 2.7 l2l, the z3m rack is the same as any e36 rack which is 3.2 l2l, only the '95 m3 is 3 l2l
The non-M z3 rack is the best one to have, not because of the shortest l2l, but because it is has a linear ratio. (same rack travel per input turn across the entire rack length as opposed to the z3m and any e36 rack which is a progressive ratio.)Comment
