What Koni Setting Best Matches the IE Stage 3?

I'd like to hear where you guys typically run your Konis if you have IE 3s/H&R Race. I'm trying to find the ideal spot where the shock and spring essentially match.

I don't think anyone on the board has the expertise and experience to give an accurate answer to that. Only an engineer with a shock dyno could answer that with any sort of authority, in my opinion.

Whatever feels good for you (or is fastest in a timed race event) sounds like a winner.

The whole range for a stock Koni Sport Shock is ok to use with the IE Stage 3 springs, most likely. Most likely, the ideal setting is in the middle.

whatever you are most comfortable with. you could crank them up on all 4 corners, but it will be insanely stiff with the IE springs. you're supposed to run them on full soft for the first 500 miles, so after that crank them up and then adjust for your own comfort. for me, that ended up being full stiff up front (to eliminate bouncy-bouncy) and 2/3 in the rear (mind you these are ix H&R sports not IE springs).

Seems to me that full stiff all around is too stiff for the spring. I guess I'll play around with the settings see what I like the best.

I would play with mine depending on what type of event I was driving. This was on a 92 240sx, 2700 lbs decent weight distribution and a tendancy to understeer. (Kinda sounds like an e30 doesn't it?) For auto-x, I would wind them off to full soft and it would help the car turn in. For DE events, I would usually run them around 3/4 stiff, rears we're set to 1/2 (old style non-externally adjustable).
