    Custom-valved Konis?

Educating myself as I plan my next suspension revamping. Anyone here had Koni SA dampers revalved? I'm interested in higher compression dampening, something closer to Bilstein Sport specs, but with the Konis better travel and adjustable rebound.

I'm going to be calling Koni once I get the cash to get this project started, but I'm just wondering if anyone had any pointers on the best places to do it through or advice on setup.

The Koni SA (single adjustable) shock is adjustable.....I believe 5 turns from full soft to full hard. That's your custom valving buddy ;)

If that isn't enough for you, look at Koni DA (double adjustable, dampen & rebound), GCs Advanced Design shocks or some Motons. Read: expensive.

They're only adjustable in rebound. He said he's after firmer compression, which means he'd need the double adjustables which you also mentioned.

There's some damping curves posted over at http://www.e30m3performance.com/tech...shock_dyno.htm for the Koni SAs if you're interested in having a look. They've only been charted at lower speeds tho - I'd be interested to see how they look at higher speeds as well, like 0.5m/s and up. Although it looks like they've already blown off so you could probably extrapolate the rest of the curve.
