So I put an m50 into a shell i bought and when I steer it has tight spots. If i turn left it's at about 10 o'clock (worst tight spot, lasts until 8 o'clock) and then there are tiny tight spots if i'm turning right at about 3 o'clock. it's always in the same place. I looked at the rack and there seems to be no issues with it, it was replaced. says remanufactured and ZF on it. I replaced the front subframe and didn't notice any issues with the steering rack either. It's full on fluid (was told to use power steering fluid and not ATF) and tires are at the correct pressure (42 PSI - tires say 44 MAX) I don't think the fluid is the issue to be honest. I checked the joints from the column to the rack and they seem to be fine, nothing is getting caught up anywhere from what I can see. Help will be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: the car DID sit for a very long time. Just thinking of it now should i spray some PB blaster on the steering joints and drive it around/move it around?
