i cut up my old stock springs to have it sit where i wanted. holy crap did it bounce. i was driving down a flat street and it felt like i was going over pot holes! i could not take it for even one day, drove back home and picked up the JOM ones and changed them out at school.

i think a 4-4.5 in spring will compliment it well. or so i have been told- still waiting on pics and info

same here with the rear springs. I cut mine today and now the car is level. Im not really a huge fan of cutting springs because its not the right way to do things but all in all it worked.

Im going to replace my rear springs with something more fitting when funds permit but for now its good for daily driving

BUT...To get the front lowlow you cut off the top of the adjuster so that it is a hollow tube that slides over the strut tube and rests on the original spring perch. this method will get the front very low.

thanks for the quick reply. Thats what I was thinking as it was the only other viable option here.

    all is well then!!

bumping this because apparently my install is wrong... who can confirm this???? I cant see how the sleeves can sit any lower on the strut. As you can see the stock spring perch has been removed but my thread sleeve is sitting about an inch above it.??? wtf?

Ahhh I see, thanks for the tip!

To all the people that want to get these, I really suggest cutting the spring perches and welding a bead or something to hold it up. When I was raising my car, it turned into a mess because I couldn't get the adjuster tool to unlock the lower adjuster. I eventually got it by using other methods, but it chewed up the notches.

So many bad reviews about these. I've had mine installed for about 3k now. My prior setup was stock, these are a huge improvement over stock IMO. Of course they are not competing with a 1200 dollar GC setup, but they have been holding up fine. I even autox'd them and they were much much more confidence inspiring than stock. I just wish the rear was a little stiffer.

They are floaty because I had this kit on a car of mine. pile of shit because the adjusters seize easily, the spring rates are all wrong, the rear doesn't lower as much as the front, the shocks are worse quality than the same age stock ones, and it's badly put together.

This kit is 1 step up from cutting your springs.

if you already know what to buy, you'll buy something else. if you dont, you wont ever notice the difference and for the money they're definitely better than the (probably) blown shocks you've got.
So if you know better, you'll buy better. If you're dumb, at least it'll be better than blown stock?
