    stubborn control arm ball joint

alright so i tried tackling my suspension today, unfortunately ran into a stubborn control arm ball joint that just wont come off the strut housing. i removed the bolt and it it just wont budge. been wacking at it for hours, trying different prying methods, lifts, wd40, etc. it just wont budge. its the last thing keeping me from removing the damn thing. drivers side came out fairly easy, but this one just wont budge. any help would be greatly appreciated. need my car back!

Go to Autozone and get a pickle fork. Then get a big ass hammer. It's pretty effective, just be careful not to tear the boots if you are reusing the arms.

thanks, on my way there now. it's strange because the drivers sides boot was tore but easy to remove, the passangers boot is like brand new and won't budge. hoping for the best.

psh! a 20lb sledge makes child's play out of this sort of thing. you can pretty much just rest it on the bolt to break it loose.
