The Touring plates utilize BMW axial upper mount bearings.

Make sure they were not separated during the install.

If you have a pic of the install or assembly please post it up.

You should not be using any of your stock components when installing these.

I just bought an E30 with the Spec E30 suspension set up and I think I have the same problem - just based on what I've read here, I don't think the previous owner installed the washer and/or dust cap. Apparently the car drove fine before the install and was aligned after, but still exhibits some of this 'memory-steer.' Question is...where can I source the washer and dust cap? Google hasn't really worked, and I'm having a hard time tracking down a Bilstein part number. Thanks

The "memory-steer" is just part of the nature of the GC race camber plates. They have solid, not ball, bearings and slightly bind. That isn't a problem on track, but is irritating on the street.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Bear with me here as I'm new to the car and to E30's, but as far as I know, new stock mounts. I bought the car last weekend and only drove it a little bit. Something is definitely off, as it doesn't drive straight at all...and apparently it did immediately before the suspension install. I'm tempted to just get it aligned and hope that cures everything, but I also don't want to waste my money. A few searches here and elsewhere have lead me to believe that the washers between the spring hat and mount weren't installed.

realoem.com will show if a washer is there or not. i advice you to take it apart and check it before spending any money.
