which do I need to do, add or remove?

I put in some H&R's and bilsteins and the alignment guy says he can't align my car to 100%

camber is personal Preference, there is a set amount the car came with from the factory and that's what the alingment guy can't get it to, when ever you lower an e30 you end up with more -camber which is good for handeling(to a certain extent), but not good for the inner edges of your tires. If you don't mind rotating your tires often, and buying new tires more frequent leave it, but if you daily drive it and only lowered for looks try to dial in more + camber to get back towards factory. You'll need to get the spec sheet from the alignment shop to what you car is at, to decide how much you need and then we can recomend adjustable mounts that may work. Like in my car one corner was -3 and the other -3.4 so I purchased a .5 degree crash mount from BMW to get both corners close to the same.(Car was hit hard in the one corner)

Camber is a good thing. If you wear the inside egdes early, you're not driving hard enough.

Now toe, toe is what will chew through tires, and is the only thing adjustable on an E30. As long as that is in spec, leave the camber alone (as long as they are equal).

how do you end up with excessive camber with H&R sports? I have hardly any front camber, I wish I had more!

so is it better not to waste money on camber correction struts and just leave camber as it is? i need to replace my struts anyways so im wondering if i should do camber correction

The IE street camber plates are a better choice than the offset mounts as they allow a range of camber adjustment up to -/+1.5, so you can dial in exactly what you want
