Control arm choices

I'm looking to replace my control arms and outer tie rod ends.

I came across this

I think they will work. People argue against them, but it's very seldom that I have seen a broken control arm from normal driving.

I do suspect that the bushings are not made of the same quality found in parts like Lemforder. Worst case is that the cheaper part has half of the life compared to Lemforder (not terrible considering CAs usually last 6+ years.

i bought fcpgroton control arm kit like 3 years ago.. both control arm bushing were done after 9-10 months of daily driving... just my personal experience with said product

My Lemfoerder folded after hitting the curb. They're cast iron. The difference between the brands is the quality of the ball joints mostly.

Blunt sells Lem's ridiculously cheap.

Blunt has the best deal on CAs period. You might save $5 on fleaBay but the quality of the balljoints won't be nearly the same.

I picked up the fcpgroton ones a few days ago. I paid $215 for the control arms, inner and outer tie rods, and sway bar links.

I did it mainly to test quality, if they're bad I'm only out $215 right? If they're decent I can spread the word.

As soon as my brakes get in these, and a set of Ground Controls will be going on and a review written.

I was thinking about getting the fcpgroton ones too, but then i decided i will probably go with blunttech because, m3 offset, and it comes with all the bushings you need to do a almost complete rebuild,.. i think... correct me if i am wrong...

Use a 12 point, 22mm or 7/8 inch box wrench, with a 15 degree angle (the most common) and flip it upside down towards the front. Then move it one notch at atime.
