    Eibachs....anyone else?

Man, I'm glad I picked these out. These are considered some of the softest lowering springs you can buy for my car, but damn...the ride is worlds harsher than stock. It's not completely unbearable, but a lot rougher than I expected being such soft springs.

I also seem to have a pretty substantial drop - the wheels are basically at the fender wells (not tucked) and I'm an early model. Seems a bit more than an inch or inch and a half or whatever they're supposed to drop.

I've got them paired with Bilstien Sports, and the handling is better, but not much. Basically all I can say about these springs is that theyre better than stock. Can't give them much mroe credit than that...

I'm running Eibach/Bilstein Sport setup and it's perfect for my needs, although they could be lower in the front but whatever I got the springs
for free. I used to think they were a bit too soft but paired with
Bilstein sports firmed it up alot as compared to Tokicos the PO had
    on the car.

The rates for them are barely stiffer than non-M stock springs. I've been driving a friends car around for the past few days with them (Bilstein Sp, RD bars) and it's a good package but way too soft. 4 of his front coils are rusting from rubbing. ;)

It's the Bilsteins, they have a VERY high bound setting. If you had Konis, you'd think the ride is comfy as a pillow.

A friend's car has Eibachs with stock shocks (I know, I know) and it's retardedly soft riding (until you hit the bump stop, of course :P). That tells you, it's not the springs, it's the dampers.

BTW, the Pro-Kit's spring rate is damn near identical the M3's stock rate.

So Koni's and eibachs, eh? Damn. Not only do I not want to spend an extra $500 on shocks, I don't want to change them again :)

Anyone lower than what the eibachs put you to is insane. At least up here.

          I'll snap some pics. insane.

Eibach/Bilstein Sport is a very good combo for a daily driver that sees
little or no track time, I'd like to add some ST bars though soon.

I think the only other softer is Bav auto. But with my Bilstien Sports its stiff enough for me.

I have never tracked or auto crossed maybe when I do I won't like it but till then meh. I got mine used too.

Had them for about 2 years have not sagged or anything (people say they do).

It was either I got these or waited a long time for a guy on max to take the Apex springs off his car and bought those, I was looking for a cheap drop at the time and I am happy with what I got.

                Sold it.

It's subjective I guess, you may think it's harsh while I think it's not.

Or maybe it's just as simple as a loose nut.

SOMEONE hadn't properly torqued down the top nut on the driver's front strut. It was banging around and causing a shit ass ride. Yesterday morning I finally wasn't dead tired (I work nights) and checked it out - gave it a nice torque down and bam - smooth ride. Imagine that.

Learned two things - if you have 6 people help you with suspension, it can't hurt to go through and double check a few things here and there.

Second - eibachs arent bad at all :) Perfect street spring, IMO. But, I'm in MA, with shit ass roads - anything firmer (FOR STREET) would be torture.

Haha, it didn't take long at all....we just all took turns. Well, to put it correctly, Greg did most of the work, Dan did some helping, and I finished it off. There were just a bunch of us up there, and my car was just a background for everything else. We worked on it in bits and pieces, and talked and checked out the 42 e30s at my garage that day in between. Probably had something to do with the loose bolts ;)

PS - painted my rotor hats and hubs grabber green in honor of a certain company :) Pics this weekend...for shizzle.
