So guys, how do get I get lower. I know this sounds terrible but ive gotten a quote on just raceland fronts, would they be able to get lower?

JFYI, this is what my E36 M3 GC struts look like with the perch all the way down and the spring just snug, not even under compression (no engine, car would lift up):

Im pretty sure they are 325is struts, not m3. But yeah I wanna be that low

i cut and shortened my struts.. when lowering you NEED to do this maintain your travel. I took like 1.25" from the e36 strut housings, probably more i don't remember. Will you shocks allow you to do this is another question. I used e30 koni's inside the e36 strut housing, welded the e30 collar nut ontop of the e36 housings, made a spacer for the strut and bam sealed up e30/6 frankenspention.

here are some of the results:

Bilstein really screwed up the E36M3 shock design.
The strut is too long and you will be riding, or more like pogo stick
bouncing, on Bilstein bumps stops most of the time. That is unless you
disassemble the Bilstein cartridge and trim the bumps stops. By which
time you had voided Bilstein's lifetime warranty. Don't get me wrong - I had put 120+K miles on Bilstein HDs with my E30
and they were as good as new when I sold the car. But Bilstein really missed
the boat on E36M3 Sport shocks.


The Bilstein Sport front struts for the E36 M3 are of the same design as the struts for the regular E36 3-series. This creates a problem when installed on the M3 (especially when lowered) because the M3 is 1.2 inches (31mm) lower than the regular 3-series from the factory, and the car will practically rest on the strut's internal bumpstops at static ride height when the car is lowered. This situation does not allow for much suspension travel and can cause a harsh and/or bouncy ride on anything other than silky smooth roads.

So im thinking I pull out the rear adjusters or get shorter springs. And figure out a way to move the perch down on the front.
