    Which front strut mount?

Getting ready to order some new ones, my local BMW parts place is quoting me $170CAD/ea for OEM ones. Meyle is $33 at BMA, Febi is $36, but in searching I see that neither are rated very highly by the veterans on here.

Lemforder is the one to get. You don't want aftermarket.

Tell Patrick at BMA that you want Lemforder and pricematch with EAP4PARTS.com. Don't tell anyone I told you that. ;)
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

      Where are the strut mounts?

Do the camber plates replace them?

at $170 each I'd look at camber plates.

I'll give Patrick a ring later today. Thanks man.

Just like the rear mounts obviously, between the top of the strut and the shock tower. Yes, your GCs replace them.

nando the idea of switching to IE racing plates crossed my mind, but now that $34/ea is available I'll stick with OEM. The increased NVH isn't worth it, the car is already leagues ahead of my own talent. ;)

Yup, Adam it was your advice I was heeding with the avoidance of Febi and Meyle. I just got off the phone with Patrick, he said he thinks Sachs makes the OEM mounts, although he knows Lemfoerder makes most other suspension pieces. In any case I trust Sachs parts, I ordered those. And man does Patrick ever offer low prices for us R3V kids.

Just curious, why are you changing your strut mounts?

yep, I just ordered the EAP stock mounts, they arrived last week and are made by Sachs. They look good and will be installed middle of next month.

Mine are completely worn out, the material is physically falling apart.

BMA parts prices seem a little high still. I'm gathering prices to rebuild my front suspension and just priced an order online there for $119, with the R3V discount it brought it down to $113. I priced the same parts at Bav Auto for $108.

Well, someone at BMA screwed up and I was sent Febi mounts (despite Sachs being specifically indicated on the invoice). I don't feel like sending them back, too much time and money wasted with border crossing and brokerage fees.

                            Whatever.

Lemforder mounts arn't listed on BMA or Fap99. EAP4PARTS.com dosn't exsist anymore so I can't price match Lemforder mounts with them. Has anyone ordered a pair of Lemforder mounds from BMA or Fap99 recently? How much did they run you?
