    318is springs on a 325i

I want to get a general consensus on this. Will 318is springs work on the front of a 325i? The engines cant me all that different in weght can they?

Yes, they will fit. They won't be optimal though. The weight difference of a 318iS to a 325i is about 200lbs.

Ok, car might be going on a diet soon anyhow. I'm a racecar engineer at heart (really an engineering student on my uni's FSAE racing team), and my fingers itch when i see excess pounds on a vehicle.

Which springs are you looking to put on the 325i? Are you talking about stock 318 springs (though the same applies either way).

Can I ask why? What's wrong with your springs?

Well, they're all rusty, and one is actually cracked off. Dont ask me how, it was before I bought the car. I dont have much $ right now, so I'm looking at the cheapest option.
