H&R Race vs IE S3 Race Springs

Can anyone comment on the differences between Ireland Engineering stage 3 race springs and H&R race springs? I've read that they are the same rate and also found in my forum searches that the IE's may be better suited for early models (which I have). If there's not much of a difference I'll probably just go with the IE's since they're going to be a little less $ than the H&R's. Any help and direction would be appreciated.

they are the same same rate but the progression is different. the IE springs are a little shorter in the rear and recommended to be ran with pads. With H&R, pads can be removed & ran safely. I keep mine in. I believe the older H&R's are a little less stiff(production 12/99)

H&R is the way to go. The IE3s sit higher in the front (usually too high). Plus if you are worried about cost, Tirerack is selling Races for $300 + shipping. (shhh, don't tell everyone).

Someone posted the link on r3v a few weeks ago. Doesn't look like the seller is selling them that cheap anymore.
