    adjustable spring companies?

i'm looking to put adjustable coilovers on my car and was wondering what if any companies make adjustable springs (just springs) so i can go low low low.

    anybody with experience/ride input appreciated.

    I don't think that's possible. There's no movable/adjustable parts to a spring.
You could get drop hats though, that's probably the easiest way to drop.

Ground Control is going to your best choice.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

ya i'm talking cheap a$$ tuner style coilovers. I would just cut them but the rears make it pretty sketchy as i'm sure you all know.

        anybody else besides ground control?

            Wooden blocks?

            Ebay junk?

Ground Control? (is $400 really too much?)

            Those are some choices

this is true only if your shocks/struts aren't up to the task of controlling a stiffer spring. A spring is a spring is a spring, it's job is to compress and return to its original position and the ebay springs do that too, some are longer than others, some are stiffer than others, but a spring is a spring. Aside from longevity, finish quality, rust resistance and consistency from spring to spring and batch to batch (whether actual rate matches advertised rate), there are no difference between how a GC supplied eibach racing spring and an ebay sourced civic coilover racing spring "works". The adjusters on the other hand are chintzier, and aren't matched to the front strut diameter or the rear spring location nubs when you buy a universal kit, but that can be remedied with some ingenuity.

the front adjuster fit perfectly and the rear you will have to open up the upper spring seat.

nobody spending $40 on springs is going to spend the neccesary money for good strut inserts and rear shocks.

$360 saved leaves you some good money towards some billies. MR2 guys have been using the miata coilovers for years. Anybody actually tried these on an E30?

Edit: on second thought I'm not sure how the rear would work as they are designed as a coil over shock setup

springs that cheap have to be made of sub-par materials. you can't even have something powdercoated for $40.

Are you planning on shortening the struts? Thats the only way to go "low low low." I bought some sleeves from a1 racing that were 90/pair with adjusters and upper perches, and designed to fit over strut housings. Check my e34 build in the project forum for details. Its hard to half ass coilovers on the front of an e30

^^ I will def check that out.

i was just curious about companies that made adjustable ones, not wanting to use super cheap springs that was just as an example of what i had in mind.

but i guess GC will be the ones, I coulda swore that H&R made an adjustable set? i must be mistaken.
