To remove stock springs, unbolt the swaybar link and lower shock bolt. No, your brake lines will not "rip off" LOL.

This is a method used by me in real life, not something I read on the internet.

this isnt' about dropping my springs out anymore..
it's about me buggering up my rear trail arm, and possibly damaging my threads now that i've drilled at it.

        retractor bit better work miracles.

I just undo the bottom shock bolt let the trailing arm drop and pull the spring out. If you have trouble lining up the bottom bolt the way I do it is press the bottom shock hole where the bolt goes through flat against the mounting hole. So the hole at the bottom of the shock sits flat and lined up and all you do is put the bolt through with no cross threading issues. Takes me 30mins to change springs. Stock height springs can be a bit tricky to remove if you don't have a spring compressor, what I like to use is a bit of brute force and my good old friend Mr Crowbar ;)

Okay, word messup. It won't "rip off", but my right rear did put some unneeded stress on it if I let the TA drop all the ways. It's better to tell people this because it's good practice to put a jack under it.

This is a method used by me in real life too. :)
