Anyone know how much stroke you should have on the front shock insert when the car is sitting there at rest? I have 500 lb/in springs on the front. Thanks for any input. (of course unless its talking about my small genitalia.)

It would depend on your ride height... -
and the length of the insert and whether you've shortened the housings.
how long is a string? :)Comment

I haven't shortened them yet. Thats why I'm asking. Sitting there at about the ride height I want without cutting the housing and having a spacer under the shock and with the bump stop, I only see about 1/4" of the shaft. If I cut the recommended 1" out of the housing it will give me about 1 1/4" of stroke before it hits the bump stop. Thats why I was wondering how much I should have. Thanks.Comment
