will these mystery springs fit my car?

I recently bought a set of vogtlands in great shape, but the previous owner had them installed on his ix which has larger front struts iirc. I have a 318is with 51mm struts (1991) and have no idea if they'll work. i've tried to search and find vogtland made ix springs with no luck. my plan was to install these in february, but if they're no good i'll have to look at selling them. also the part numbers are unreadable, and my next step would be attempting to measure them myself which would be unreliable, and not ideal since I don't know the ix strut housing size. anyone know the ix strut size? is attempting to measure the spring a good idea?

aren't going to put them on until after the winter madness begins, and wouldn't they move under heavy load?
