    Coilover Install

Just bought a set of JOM Coilovers. I have never installed coilovers before, or any suspensions besides Control Arms and CAB's. Does anyone have a good write-up, DIY, instructions or advice?

    Thanks

I have GC's but Garagistic's guide helped me out a lot. Should be pretty similar.

How to install coilovers on your e30 Notes Main focus on the front passenger side and touched based on the rear. The front driver side is identical except for the fact that the brake wear indicator sensor wiring is only on the front driver side and right rear passenger side, its just a wiring harness you need to unplug

OH yeah, buy a ball joint separator. ;)

I put in my rears today and they car seams to be sitting higher than stock?! I did leave the adjusters and sping pads in (will be taking them out).

Does anyone know how much springs will settle on average?

        Thanks

Almost everyone runs the rear spring with out the adjusters because of how high it sits in the rear.

How hard is the welding process for the install?... I dont have welding experience but will be taking it to a friends shop. Just wondering how hard and average price for welding.

^ you don't weld JOMs. You just put the inserts in the front and spring on, then separate springs and shocks up back.

the only time you would weld would be if you cut off the front spring perch altogether and welded it on lower but from all accounts this isn't necessary as it goes very low as it is (limiting factor is generally the rear height)
