With new suspension, or old suspension with oil running down the shocks and cracks on the springs because someone torched them.Originally posted by MystikalThat's called being on the bumpstops. You have no suspension.Comment

Haha, Eibach Pro Kit springs are some of the softest springs you can buy. My friend has them on his 84 318i which is light as balls and I thought it still had stock springs it was so soft.Originally posted by A_325ii dont know man its nothing like stock the front of my car is ummm extremely stiff my buddy who is 240 pounds sat on my front fender and the springs or shocks did not compress at all they are EXTREMELY stiff the rear is a bit softer but still very stiff and the ride is very harshComment

A friend of mine had them on his 88 iS and as said, they're pretty much just like stock, but lowerComment

Your dampers are doing nothing, essentially the only thing holding your car up and controlling the body motion are those bumpstops. Your handling really cannot get any worse, and you are quickly tearing apart your strut towers, and in the long run the whole car.Originally posted by A_325ihmmm
so...uhhh what does that mean? the shocks are bad? wtf do i do to fix it
To fix it, buy shorter dampers (Konis are a good start) or proper springs (H&R Sports, IE Stage III's, etc).Comment

they are shorter, but some like the H&R bilstiens are perfectly/RFC matched to their springs. Its probably the same with bilstein the probably sell springs that are closey matched to thier shocks but bilstien sports generally work great with any shorter spring.Comment

H&R shocks aren't Bilsteins.Originally posted by nefarious7907they are shorter, but some like the H&R bilstiens are perfectly/RFC matched to their springs.
