    Bilstein Sport Question

I'm missing the strut insert "clamp down nut" that holds the strut in the housing. (Thanks PO)

I called tirerack to see if when you buy the struts are these "nuts" included? The guys said they are NOT. Is this true??? If so, where do I find these?

    Thanks R3V

The gland nuts ARE included with the struts as thet are unique to bilstein. What is not included (anymore) is the spanner to tighten them.

Which makes no god damn sense! You know you are an OG when you have an original Bilstein spanner wrench lying around.

Thanks, I never bought brand new struts! :o Time to treat myself.

That Tirerack guy must have been Mr. Twinky and was too lazy to look/ask. #salesmanoftheyear

          Damn Straight.
I modified my 2002 Bilstein spanner to fit my 911 gland nuts and it just so happens to fit E30 like a glove. Sometimes i take it out of the toolbox just to feel it's weight and bask in the OG warmth.

You can still get the tool from bilstein. Think its $8

Every set of Bilstein Sport shocks I've purchased (usually from Bimmerworld) have come with brand new gland nuts.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
