6k is less than 400lbs springs. Leave the front 8k and get like 10k rears.

This is the kind of thing I'm looking to hear. I'm taking out my ridic stiff J-stock suspension in favor of the Megans. Can't wait to get my hands on these babies and review the shit out of them!!

I guarantee a thorough review. To be honest, I had been researching these coils for about a 6 weeks before you started this thread but it sure didn't hurt!
UPS says they should arrive today....then I have to pull the j-stock setup, get the welding done and throw it all back in before the e30 goes to the shop for alignment. I'll try do get the install done asap!

Don't hesitate to order from fatphos! Great price, shipping was super fast (and I'm in Canada) and my kit arrived well packed and in excellent condition.
Due to an out of town wedding this weekend, I can't start working on it until monday......aaaaargh!
One other thing I like about the coils so far: the adjustment knobs have crisp, discernible clicks, unlike my old GC konis where I was basically counting turns and hoping to get it right. Not a big deal, but sweet none the less. I know others have said it before, but it's surprising how well made these appear to be given their price. Really hoping these perform as good as they look.

Yep. You cut the the oem strut housing off, leaving about 50mm of metal sticking up. You then slide the Megan over top of this cylindrical 50mm of metal, and weld the bottom of it to the spindle.

I just had my local tuning shop suggest a fab guy. I'd suggest you just go to a good shop in town and have them point you in the proper direction.
It's such a small job, I can't envision it costing very much cheddar
