    CAB glue?

    e30 noob here...

im planning on doing my whole front end with a friend and i have a question...
ive read some articles online where it calls for CAB glue/lubricant when its installed and ive read some where it makes no mention of it at all.

so in short, do i need this glue/lubricant, or am i good to go without it???

Glue isn't needed, but some form of lubricant will be needed between the control arm and bushing. Liquid soap or cable pulling lube is preferred over oil or grease. To avoid building a pre-load on the bushings they need to be mounted to the car and the car set on it's wheels as soon as possible after pressing the bushings onto the control arms. Then the car should sit overnight while lube dries.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

        ok cool, thanks!

i got another question... i bought some poly CAB bushings and 1 side has a bevel on the outer rim and the opposite side is just a sharp corner. so my question is, which side should the bevel be facing??? towards the CAB, or away from the CAB???

        thanks again

edit: so there is no need to use the BMW specific lube/glue to glue the CAB to the eyelet or to glue the CAB to the arm its self??

No special lube needed. In fact, you might not even need any lube with poly bushings. I believe they will just slide on. Lube is only needed with stock rubber bushing where the bushing actually stretches around the control arm. Someone correct me if I am wrong though.

And the bevel is purely to make it easier to push into the lollipop. Doesn't matter which way it goes.
