Definitely. Most people with M42 cars will cut a coil off of the H&R Race and IE3 springs to get rid of the reverse rake though. -

and half a coil may not change much. seeming they are already lowered coils too. so the coils tend to be closer together unloaded.
but when you get morons cutting 3 or 4 coils out of there factory coils and then drilling holes in the lower spring perch to put tie wire through to hold them in (if they even think that far) makes me furious. you might as well just not have springs in.
thats where i get really pissed off about cutting coils.Comment

Well, that's a totally different story!
I've also modified the bump stops in my front struts to give a bit more travel.Comment
