    Rake. :/

So, I recently lowered my car on some springs and struts. And I've noticed I seem to have a bit of rake.
Now I know I can get it down in the back a little bit more by removing the spring pads. But the question's I have are, Should I do it? What are the good or bad things about removing them?
    Or is there another option?

I've run no pads on many cars and never noticed any additional noise.

What springs are you running that give you such a rake?

I have KW springs and struts. They're supposed to be 60mm lower.
I don't have a way to take pictures right now, but from the bottom of the wheel front is about 19 5/8" and the rear is about 20 5/8". I have stock bottle caps on it for now.
They seemed to have settled a bit since I last measured them when I put it all in almost two months ago.

I have kw 60/40 springs on my early model with all pads removed. It has obvious rake with the 20mm difference and early model high arches.

Yeah, the set I have is supposed to be 60mm lower front and rear. I'm thinking I should just take the rear pads out and call it a day.

Hmmm, one racing friend says a little bit of rake (nose down) is what
              you're shooting for.

              You might have a winner!

Well, the suspension has settled a bit more and it looks much better but the front is just about tucking tire and the rear isn't even close.

I'll try and take a few pictures tonight.

At least you don't have reverse rake!

                      Still raking.

So, I still have a bit of rake and I think it's about time I do most, if not all of my bushings. So I was looking around for what I need, and I found some rear shock mounts and was wondering if any one makes any that might raise the mounting point, in turn lowering the car a little.
Just a thought, any thing like that exists?

Shocks don't determine your ride height, springs do. You can take to spring pads out for a little drop.

Ok, I see you asked about the pads. I don't understand the term "rake", you mean camber?

I feel like an idiot, because I now realize I had that backwards.

So, unless I get shorter lowering springs, taking out the pads is all I can really do?

Correct. Your shock just help control the springs. your spring control the height your car sits at as well and other things like roll and what not.

I should know this now. haha.

Looks like I get to do suspension work when the car goes down for the swap.
