I have the IE race, use them on the street. The spherical bearing went out on the first couple 100 miles Hahah. So when driving on rough roads they are definitely clunky.
What are the best camber plates?

I loved my KMACs but they are hard to dial in with out an alignment rack.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

That's just the bearing moving in the plate due to excess clearance between the bearing and snap ring. Mine did that too. Crappy design all around but I made them work. I shimmed mine to fit snug with .008" shims. Now they are quiet as can be.Comment

Hmm, I'll check it out thanks for the info!:borg:Comment

You are on the right path with the shimming, just not in regards to the reason. Spherical bearings have a tolerance from the manufacturer (aurora in this case) as to the thickness of the cage, you can't compensate for it in a fixed manner obviously, so the shims are used. These shim washers are included in the plates and whenever you buy replacement bearings.
I'm not quite sure how you take away that it's a crappy design, been working well enough for over 15 years on a couple of the race cars. Not fancy sure, but functional.Comment
