i have a serious problem with my suspension

since i hit the curb my cars has been acting weird obviously but just lately everytime i hit a little tiny bump or crack in the road i hear a very loud knocking/clunking noise coming from the drivers side front shock tower and i can also feel it through the pedals clutch brake and gas when i open the hood and try to shake the car side to side i can hear the knocking sound coming from the shock tower...its very loud especially when the bump is bigger....what exactly could it be i cant see anything loose around the shock tower or under the car but i did do my own tierod could that be the problem? maybe i didnt tighten it correctly or something?...i dont know but it sounds very bad and its real sketchy and makes me worried any help is greatly appreciated thanks

maybe the spring is not sitting correctly onto pearch, snap a few pics and perhaps we can spot something.

i had something similar on my passenger side and it drove me NUTS... no accident though.

just in case, check the gland nut on the strut tube (the threaded collar that secures the strut in the tube) ... mine had worked itself loose and would allow the strut to rattle in the tube and make noise over bumps etc.
