    alignment then adjust?

Quick question, can't really find a definite answer. I'm running the GE group buy coilover kit with IE camber plates. I'm picking my car up from having a full alignment done today. I don't think they'll have the ride height where I want it, so I was wondering if I could adjust the height of the ride without messing up the alignment. Is this kosher? Or would I have to take it back for another allignment? The adjustment would probably be a 1/2 inch or so lower, maybe an inch.

yes ride hight will affect your alignment, and its kinda like throwing money away if you JUST had it aligned.
thing with alignments is, it takes more time to set up the machine than to do the actual alignment, comping sensors and getting measurements blah blah blah.

your SAI will be completely out of spec if you adjust it afterwards, as will camber and toe.

if you want to mess with it a lot, get a set of toe plates and you can get a digital angle gauge from HF for $20 that will work good enough to dial in the negative camber.

If you have a firestone near you the lifetime alignment comes in handy. Find a tech and talk with him a little, show him you care about your car and they generally do a good job + you get a paper printout every time.

Firestone's lifetime alignments are $190 I thought about it for my car but when I brought my car there they ripped a fuel line off pulling it up on the rack and then told me it would be $350 to replace my ball joint before they could align it. I asked them which balljoint was bad as the control arms were only a few months old but they were unable to tell me what one was bad and when I checked myself they were all in good shape needless to say I did not go back and my car still still needs an alignment as it goes through tires every couple of weeks...
