My PS has decided to leak right after I got 18+ in of snow. The leak is bad, but I have not been under the car to find the leak location. Since it is too cold to work on the car, can I remove the belt to the PS pump without deleting the system temporarily? Some users suggested that it was not a good idea because the pressure inside the rack can be built up over time. Other users said no problem. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

could be something as simple as the ps hose got pushed by the snow and it might need to be tightened, maybe with new thrust washers?
if you atr thinking of taking off the belt, cant you just shovel a clean area and jack it up?Originally posted by der affeWhat are you going to start a thread about next? "My woman's skinny jeans chaffe my special parts, f*ck skin irritation"
