the only springs for sale there are Bavbrands.

WTF, do you just search out doubchebag shit to say? Fuck you, man, I know what bumpstops feel like...how about you try finding something useful to say instead of just being a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles?

Nowhere did the OP ask for "high performance" springs, he asked how they worked.

Mine were fine and certainly better "performace" springs than stock.

Nope...it ain't like I am a newbie, I have been working on these and driving them since they were new. The SPRINGS were better cornering than stock, period. Nice slight drop, and most certainly better performance. The car did ride very nice and the shocks and struts helped, but in no way was that all of it.

Would I choose these shock, struts or springs if "performance" were my goal? No, no chance, but my cars are not race cars, I drive exclusively on the street.

I want better handling than stock, but what most "performance" setups have for ride comfort is horrid. No fucking way would I drive any of them form here to say, L.A., fuck that, I am too fucking old for that nonsense.

Luke, I know what you're saying, but I respectfully disagree. The roads where I live are always in pretty bad shape and BavAuto springs flat out sucked compared to H&R sports. The only reason I say they performed better is because I wasn't bouncing all over the damn road. Better control of body motion = better handling. Being a bit stiffer makes the H&Rs ride better because they're a better match to Bilstein Sports and the car isn't always going through full suspension travel.

The basic principle is that if you lower a car, you have to make up for the lost travel with a stiffer spring. There is no evidence that the bavauto springs are any stiffer than stock.

Furthermore, I have actual experience with all the parts in question in this thread, and changed only springs for a direct comparison. All we're trying to do is help OP get the best result for his money. If you're going to be buying springs at retail price, why would you not buy the best product for the application (new springs all cost about the same)?
