You are supposed to get an alignment anytime you do work on the suspension. You aren't going to be able to eyeball it accurately, but I wouldn't expect anything less from you.

Safety wire is supposed to run through a hole drilled in the bolt. Not around the threads tightly which will just spin off.

If both those M8 bolts manage to break/remove themselves that safety wire around the 2 blocks isn't going to do shit.

im not going to eyeball it, im going to use a tape measure and measure the front of the tire and the rear of the tire. Dont racing teams and stuff do it this way?

Sure sounds like eyeballing it to me.

Dunno how racing teams did it but when they aligned my car they strapped it down and used lights and computers and shit. I dont argue with lights and computers.

Also Jordan is right, the wire is supposed to operate like a cotter pin, it has to go through.
              Im now E30less.

you know you've wanted to get rid of the gross steering, but couldnt because you didnt want to swap the column or mismatch splines

This rack is awsome! do this mod!!!!1111

seriously, the rack feels great. Ive only driven it a few miles but i'm already amazed. I thought it was going to be way to hard without power steering, but its actaully as easy, or even easier then the stock e30 rack. This mod is well worth the price of a used rack

good, go make sure your remanu one isnt leaking and sell it to me already

no, but seriously, glad it turned out well

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

well, the wheel is harder to turn then a stock e30 but by no means too hard (my arms are like pencils also). The thing is, it doenst have to be tunred nearly as much as the stock rack. From center, one full turn plus a little bit is full lock, where as the stock one is 2 plus a tad.
