    Spring pads 9mm or 3mm?

I need to order new spring pads for the front, looking at Realoem/bmwfans there are two options for the upper pad. 9mm and 3mm are the options, which do I need?

The special note for the for the 9mm is "Only applies to coil spring red ". What does that even mean?

My e30 came with M-tech suspension from the factory (bilstein HD's). I am using the stock springs and just changing out the shocks with new HD's.

Ether can be used, but your car probably has 3mm pads on it now. The 9mm pad is for the M-tech suspension that has slightly shorter springs.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
