    Lowering Advice Needed

Here's my 87 E that I picked up in the new year. It's currently sitting on some bilstein and Mtech (euro) springs from the previous owner. I'd like to have the car a bit lower and more fitted along with eliminating body roll in cornering.

What do you recommend? Will I need any camber plates to accommodate going lower? Are sway bars worth looking at?

    Thanks,

    Duncan

First question, did you search/read any threads at all?

This is a very broad question and it would benefit you greatly to do your own research first and come back with some more pointed, not as vague questions.

      Sick Hoon sticker! Lol

You did not research or even post a budget. We have a ride height section thread is the suspension section that you posted this thread in. Start on page one and browse till you find something in your budget/desire.

http://compare.ebay.com/like/4004003...Types&var=sbar is all you need, comes with camber plates, all new shocks, 32 way adjustable dampening, shock hight is independently adjustable from spring preload, ready to rock buddy

sway bars will help with body roll, but start with some new shocks first to see if your really exceeding your swaybars limits, your your shocks / springs are too old and worn to keep the car level, and nice hoonigan sticker, your good in my book. idk why people are such dicks about the search button, stupid questions or not, just dont answer them, instead of wasting your energy writing negative shit, telling people they are lazy and shit. forum search buttons suck anyway.

also what are your goals for the car? stanced out? drifting? low daily?

if your looking to just lower it a little more and not have a stiff ride I would suggest H&R sport springs.

If you buy coilovers or lower the car a lot, camber plates for the front and camber/toe adjusters plus a proper four wheel alignment is recommended. they will help keep your tires lasting longer.

sway bars will make a very noticeable difference in the cars handling. They are also a more comfortable way of reducing body roll, without having to buy stiff springs. personally I feel they are worth looking into if its with in your budget. if not, installing new end links and bushings to the stock sway bars will help stiffen things up a bit.

Thanks for the replies, I was just looking for some general ideas and recommendations and I'm glad to have gotten that.

I'll be sure to post up the final results when I get there. I'm probably going to go with a coil over setup when the time comes along with some decent sway bars before.

              cheers
