Steering rack question.

Hello guys,
I have a 1987 325i convertible (non air bag), with a leaking steering rack.
Recently I acquired a steering rack in good working condition from a late model 318i e30 with airbag.
I am wondering if I it is possible to use it to replace my old leaky one.
Thank you and sorry if it was discussed already before but I was not able to find the answer anywhere.

All of the E30 steering racks are the same, so you'll be fine. The part numbers are the same as well. (32131092335)

I drove both my Cabrio's today..one with an e36 rack and one stock..and Im just glad the weather is nice enough for me to throw in the reman e36 rack thats been sitting here since Xmas.

Honestly, if you are going to the trouble of swapping racks throw in an e36 rack.
