e36 rack vs z3 rack question

i was wondering which swap rack would be best for drifting. i looked through the forums and see that some people are running the e36 rack but am confused why that rack would be better. i feel that the z3 rack would be better because its linear and has a smaller turn to lock ratio. am i wrong???

I used the '96 M3 rack, and e36 tie rod ends. I have just under 3.0 turns lock to lock. Its linear, and so easy to initiate and control drifts in the dirt. I used a drift steering wheel, and a MOMO spacer to bring the wheel in closer to my chest. Works great.

I heard the m3 steering rack was progressive, not linear. Would it be better to get the m3 rack over the z3 one?

No, stick with the Z3 or E46 ZHP rack.
