    Vogtland's vs JOM's

The Vogtlands are $420 with KYB's and I can get the JOM's for under $500. I've read a lot on how the JOM's are crap but only from people who haven't owned them. Yes i know it's adjustable vs non adjustable but how are the spring rates, and dampening quality for dailying. These are just temporary until i decide to get GC's.

How about not spending the $420 and you just roll on stock suspension till it's time to upgrade? You know you are going to get GCs... so just save your time and money and wait. I know it's hard but just do it. Trust me it is worth it...

FWIW, I am currently running JOMs and they suck. So there you have it, a JOM owner telling you that JOMs suck.

lol wot? idgaf about getting flamed, i just don't exactly have $1500+ to spend on suspension right now + new rims and tires. and it's either GC's or Megans/BC's

I have joms there ok but truthfully I only bought them thinking I was going to sell my car shortly after. Now I'm upset I didn't buy bc coilovers or ground control since I'm keeping it for a bit longer. The joms are ok to last me for a bit but I still don't like them.

What don't you like about them. I have JOMs but they are still new in the box. I'm debating on selling them and going with a nicer set. Most complaints I've heard are the rear springs and also that it doesn't go low enough in the back.

I have joms and mine are fine. The rear drops pretty low, im tucking about an inch of tire and I still have the spring pads and adjusters on. I do wish the front would drop more. But with drop hats it would be perfect. The front tire is almost flush with the fender. Ive got 205/55r15 tires. The ride is firm, not too choppy over bumps. It feels solid, I would recommend them to someone on a budget. When I get back to the states and start tracking my car, yes I will get better, more adjustable coilovers. But until then, im perfectly happy with my joms.

that's the opposite of what most buyers have said. the front can be really low but the rear doesn't go that low.

Springs and adjusters from GC are about $400-450. You could put something together with rx7 inserts and camaro shocks for well under the $1500. I was going to go this route but in the end it was easier and faster to just get everything from GC.

the Vogtland springs are a good alternative to the H&R sport springs and they drop the car really low.

They have similar spring rates to H&R sport and drop as low as H&R race. You can get the vogtlands for under $200 on ebay.

if you want really stiff look else where, but they can make a good spring for those that want low and not too soft without being too expensive.

I bet its sitting on the bump stop. You can't go any lower without cutting the housing.
