    Bilstein help

Working on the car today, to get it ready for the summer, and find out my right rear Bilstein sport shock is blown.

FYI I installed the suspension about 6 years ago. What should I do? contact bilstein check about a rebuild? See if it falls under some kind of waranty? Any one dealt with this in the past?

    Thanks,
    Car addict

P.S. other rear shock is fine, and fronts show no issues

You don't say the mileage, but if 60k or more since the shocks were installed it sounds like normal wear.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I'd just buy a new one, a rebuild will probably cost just as much and take months with the current backup they have.

I put like 300k on a set of Bilstein Sports over 12+ years, and they still felt great upon removal. It's probably just a faulty part. I wouldn't worry about it.

Did you purchase them, if you do and have paperwork then call Bilstein as they might be under their lifetime warranty. Otherwise it will cost you, I just had a set done and a basic reseal is $75 per corner.

They are backed up though....took about 2 months to get my set of 4 finished.
