Do I need to replace my steering rack? [Video Content]

I've been experiencing a lot of play when the steering wheel is centered, lots of shaking (on the steering wheel) when going over bumps while turning and losing tons of power steering.



I think the answer is likely yes, but just wanted to make sure.

You need to replace front suspension and you will be ok.

The fact that your steering rack cover boots are off is indication enough that your rack needs to be replaced. Any sign of leaking from the rack is another.

Thanks, what about the sound of it sucking through like a straw? Also, should the steering column have that much play?
