    KW Variant 1 Coilovers...thoughts?

    Hi,

I just picked these up with about 1k miles on them. Anyone have any experience they can share about them? I mainly want to know if they are worth putting on or if I should looking for something else. I will mostly use the car on street. I will also pair these with my Borbet B's.

    Thanks in advance!

Kw makes excellent stuff. One of the few companies that made a complete set. Meaning they already mounted the stub axel. They should ride great.

cant beat it, literally one of the best possible set ups if they're in good shape
maybe a little too intense for a just street car but I would love to have those on my car

KW's a serious racing company, so if you want a different setup, pick your spring rates and they'll revalve the shocks to match.

Ok, really glad to hear the positive feedback on them. I literally just bought them on a whim because I got a good deal on them.

Should I also look into camber plates?

Ah so you picked them up from E30tech huh? I was right behind you and kicking myself for missing that! If you decide to sell let me know as I'm in desperate need of something for my S50 swap E30 project.

Regarding KW's they are great products. I had their sleeve kit on my E90 M3 and the quality was top notch.

Dont think so, got them locally here in NJ, not sure if he posted them. But they are pretty new with less that 1k miles on them so I think i'm keeping them. I might also get some IE camber plates.

GC street plates. No knocking and rattling.

Dumb question, would the plates have any issues being paired with the KW coilovers? Or are they totally separate?

Totally separate. Unless IE now has a street designed plate. My H&R's used to sound like they rattled on every bump turned out it was the race inspired camber plates.

                            Racecars make lots of noise.

a race car has pretty much no comfort
